Fourteen nationally televised games and an early season showdown with the defending champion Golden State Warriors highlight the Nuggets’ 2018-19 schedule, which was released Friday afternoon.
The Nuggets open Oct. 17 at the Clippers before hosting Phoenix Oct. 20 for the first game at the Pepsi Center this season. That begins a three-game homestand that includes the Warriors and Kings.
LeBron James and the new-look Lakers come to Denver for the first time Nov. 27. It will be the second time the teams meet this season, the first coming Oct. 25 in Los Angeles.
Other key home games include the Jazz (Nov. 28, Feb. 28), the Rockets (Nov. 13, Feb. 1) and the Thunder (Dec. 14, Feb. 26). The Nuggets also host the Timberwolves, who beat them in Game 82 last season to secure the eighth and final Western Conference playoff spot, March 12 and April 10. The April 10 game is the last of the regular season.
Nine games will air on Altitude and ESPN. Five are exclusively on TNT.
Denver’s preseason begins Sept. 30 against the Lakers in San Diego before playing them again at the Staples Center in Los Angeles on Oct. 3. The Nuggets will play five preseason games in total, and the only one at the Pepsi Center will take place Oct. 5 against the Perth Wildcats of the Australian NBL.
