AOC’s Global Warming Documentary is a Total Flop with Viewers

Noted global warming scientist and beautician Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez has a new documentary out in theaters this week. Not that anyone has noticed. Contrary to AOC’s claims that global warming is her generation’s World War II, hardly anyone seems to care about the issue. Most mentally healthy people understand by now that global warming is a hoax. The same batch of charlatans have been telling us since the 1970s that the weather is going to get us all in 10 to 12 years, and the climate apocalypse just never seems to happen.

AOC’s global warming documentary is called, “To the End.” If you’re unaware of the existence of this new film, don’t feel bad. You’re not alone. It was projected to be a blockbuster. The leftwing movie critic pundit class has been giving it rave reviews.

Oh, you want to watch the trailer? We don’t want to disappoint:

It has an 83% “fresh” score from the critics on Rotten Tomatoes. One critic called Ocasio-Cortez “an antidote to despair” in the film. Another claims the film is “set to ignite more Americans to take action.”

Reviews from normal people who are not movie critics are even funnier. Many viewers have given the film one-half of a star, the lowest possible rating on “Rotten Tomatoes.” Here’s a short selection of some of our favorite reviews from people who aren’t liberal movie critics.

“Start to finish, a bore.”

“Painful to watch. I guess I’m just getting tired of being lectured to.”

“It was like a Tik Tok video stretched out for hours.”

“I went home and set two old tires ablaze in my backyard, it seemed like the right thing to do after viewing this narcissistic whining.”

And “Fell asleep….”

Word-of-mouth on the film has been catastrophically bad as well, which is probably why audiences are flocking to see something that is not an AOC global warming documentary. The film debuted in 120 theaters across the US and brought in just $9,600. That’s about $80 per theater – not enough to justify having enough staffers to hand out popcorn to the average 8 viewers per screen over the entire weekend. That’s the biggest flop we’ve heard of in recent years.

By way of comparison, Dinesh D’Souza’s excellent documentary film about the stolen 2020 election, “2,000 Mules,” brought in $11 million in revenue in the first 8 weeks after its release. About 90% of that was generated online and about 10% in movie theaters. Then again, D’Souza’s film was about a real subject that people care about, and not about a fake subject like global warming that no one cares about.

It’s hard to get upset with AOC about anything she does. She is just a ditzy aspiring actress, after all. She literally auditioned for the part of “congresswoman” with Barack Obama’s Political Action Committee before being selected to run against a fuddy-duddy moderate Democrat who Obama never liked.

All that AOC does when talking about politics or especially global warming is rattle off the lines that Team Obama has handed her to memorize. She’s much more fluid and quick-thinking when offering makeup and beauty tips on her TikTok channel than when she’s talking about actual issues.

Under normal circumstances, we would sit through a film like “To the End” before mercilessly mocking it for you. But… yeah. We’re not going to do that this time. It’s not like AOC has anything new to say about global warming. She’s blathering about the same stuff that Al Gore and the Unabomber were blathering about back in the 1990s, the UN was blathering about in the 1980s, and fringe environmentalist community college professors were blathering about in the 1970s: The weather is going to kill us all unless we overturn our economic system and convert to communism.
