“Woke” Monica Lewinsky Gets Surprised By Her Own Poll

If anybody should be concerned about Democratic leaders, you would think Monica Lewinsky would be at the top of the list. The presidential girlfriend made sure that she listed her pronouns in her Twitter profile so that you would know where she stands on the current meltdown points. She was also making it clear where she stands over Elon Musk and his changes brought to the Twitter social media platform.

Lewinsky was apparently upset that Musk asked the public’s opinion on whether or not to allow former President Donald Trump to rejoin the social media platform. You would think that liberals would like Musk’s approach of allowing the public to speak about his decisions; sounds like valuing free speech to me.

But the “woke” society like Lewinsky through all kinds of tantrums.

Lewinsky decided to do her own poll and asked her Twitter followers if big decisions should be made by 1). Employees of Twitter, or 2). The general public.

The poll didn’t go as Monica expected, with 140,000 people engaged there was almost 90 percent of the responders who chose the public versus Twitter employees. The outcome led to a surprising response from Lewinsky, she said that the “new algorithms” suddenly meant she was seeing negative comments about what she was posting. She said there were two times more negative comments than positive ones.

“Here’s the bummer of the new algorithms unleashed (or at least seemingly new) never before have i had 2x the comments vs likes. (and most of these comments are negative… )”

She just completely misread the outcome. The truth is that now the conservatives are not being suppressed on the platform, and liberals are finally seeing that there are a lot of other voices who don’t agree with the progressive platform.

Elon Musk is just following through on his promises to take the liberal “thumb off of the scale,” and Lewinsky is facing that music. She is having to learn what it means to live outside of the bubble of protection the liberal media has provided over the years. Real free speech means that she has to face people who strongly disagree and you don’t have the safety of the progressive echo chamber.

One of those who disagreed with Monica was Christina Pushaw, Florida Governor Ron DeSantis’ Rapid Response Director. She mocked Lewinsky saying that she “shouldn’t be lecturing us about how to make good decisions.”

Lewinsky started her Twitter account in 2018 when she marked the two decades after her White House scandal with former President Bill Clinton. She tweeted this in her first post, “For 20 years, i’ve marked 16 Jan as the day i survived another year from 1998. on this 20th (!!!) anniversary, thinkin’ maybe we could try a survivor’s chain.”

She wrote several months later that her relationship with Clinton was not “sexual assault” but it “constituted a gross abuse of power” by the former president.

Elon Musk’s poll on Twitter focusing on former President Trump’s reinstatement had over 15 million votes cast. It had 51.8 percent voting to reinstate Trump and 48.2 percent voting not to allow the former president back on. After the poll ended, Musk said, “The people have spoken, Trump will be reinstated.”

But Trump has yet to post a tweet on the platform as he is opting for his Truth Social platform.

Musk had this to say about Trump being removed from Twitter: “I’m fine with Trump not tweeting. The important thing is that Twitter correct a grave mistake in banning his account, despite no violation of the law or terms of service. Deplatforming a sitting President undermined public trust in Twitter for half of America.”
