The “Person of the Year” is an honored position for Time Magazine. It’s been going on since 1927 – and the person for 2022 has been announced as none other than Volodymyr Zelenskyy.

Now, it’s clear that people haven’t stopped talking about him and the spirit of Ukraine since Russia first invaded the country at the beginning of the year.

It’s questionable as to whether the wartime leader deserves the honor. With Zelenskyy suddenly “demanding” that the US send billions more in aid, it’s time to step back and find out what he’s doing with the money – especially as there are reports of Ukrainian leaders buying up luxury properties in Europe.

Is the US being swindled or are they truly providing support?

Edward Felsenthal, the Editor-in-Chief of Time Magazine helps to sum up why the Ukrainian president was bestowed the honor: “Whether one looks at this story of Ukraine with a sense of hope or a sense of fear, and the story is, of course, not fully written yet…Zelenskyy has really galvanized the world in a way we haven’t seen in decades.”

The cover shows Zelenskyy in an army-green jacket along with sunflowers, Ukrainian flags, and crowds of protesters.

We’re still not sure whether Zelenskyy is the hero or the villain in the story.

He has postured himself aggressively since Russia’s first move. As a former actor and comedian, he relies on unique skills and works to maintain his nerve under pressure.

Time has made it clear. They aren’t just bestowing the honor on the man. They are also trying to honor the spirit of Ukraine – and for at least that part, we can’t be too mad.

There are several other “Heroes of the Year” captured within the publication, including the women of Iran.

Perhaps we should be happy that Dr. Fauci wasn’t chosen to grace the cover.

The question is, do you think Zelenskyy is worthy of such an honor?
