Left Brands Meat a Microaggression—Want To Guess Their Plans?

It was only a matter of time before the left picked a fight with meat.

In a surreal deep dive from Vanity Fair, protein itself — essential for muscle, immune health, and basic survival — has now been labeled a microaggression. Why? Because too many men are eating it, and worst of all, they’re doing it while listening to podcasts and avoiding soy.

The article, written by Keziah Weir, insists America’s renewed interest in protein stems not from health goals, but from political radicalism. Weir ties it all together like a college freshman stretching a thesis: red meat is masculine, men are eating too much protein, and therefore… Donald Trump is somehow to blame.

She even suggests that protein obsession is a cover for body image issues among men, citing Harvard sources to claim it’s now linked to eating disorders. Then, without missing a beat, she suggests Trump’s 2015 campaign was some kind of Big Mac-fueled masculine backlash.

This isn’t satire. It’s where the modern left is right now.

And it ignores the actual reason millions of Americans are embracing protein-rich diets: they want to be healthy. It’s not about politics — it’s about survival in a country drowning in sugar, seed oils, and sick-care medicine.

Chris Enloe, the author of the Blaze piece, shares his own story: overweight and on blood pressure meds at 22, now fit and healthy thanks to high-protein eating, lifting weights, and ditching junk. He’s not alone. Millions of Americans are rejecting Big Pharma’s model of endless pills and dependency and reclaiming their health the old-fashioned way — with discipline, exercise, and, yes, plenty of meat.

This movement — dubbed “Make America Healthy Again” — isn’t just some MAGA side quest. It’s a rebellion against the corrupt medical-industrial complex that failed the nation during COVID. Americans are waking up. They’re done listening to bureaucrats who told them lockdowns and donuts were good for their health.

But instead of celebrating this shift, leftist media is pathologizing it. Men who want to build muscle, track protein, and stay lean are labeled extremists. It’s not enough to disagree — the left has to turn health itself into a political crime.

Ironically, Weir and her ilk fail to mention that protein isn’t just for men. Women, seniors, and kids need it too. In fact, high-protein diets are critical for older adults trying to maintain muscle mass, avoid injuries, and stay independent. Demonizing protein hurts everyone — not just the “manosphere.”

At the core, this culture war on protein is about control. The left can’t stand when people think for themselves, especially about their bodies. They’d rather shame you into submission than admit the experts have been wrong for decades — about food, fat, and fitness.

So no, eating protein doesn’t mean you’re a misogynist, a Trump voter, or a threat to democracy. It means you care about your health in a world that seems determined to destroy it.

The truth is simple: protein is fuel. And in an era when everything is politicized, maybe the most rebellious thing you can do is throw a steak on the grill and lift some weights.
