A correspondent for the Daily Show was left stunned after asking a focus group of black New Yorkers who they plan on voting for. Half the crowd raised their hands in favor of Donald Trump. This highlights one of the biggest Achilles’ heel problems for the Democrats heading into the 2024 election. Most black voters realize that their lives were much better off with Donald Trump running the country, compared to the economic damage that Joe Biden has done to everyone.
“I didn’t see that coming,” remarked Daily Show reporter Josh Johnson when he asked the focus group who they were voting for. Three had raised their hands in favor of Joe Biden and the other three chose Donald Trump.
One older black voter noted that he had always been registered a Democrat, but the party always seems to offer promises it never delivers on. That wasn’t a problem with Donald Trump in office.
Another panelist noted that Joe Biden has never apologized for some of the outlandishly racist things that he’s said in the past. For example, in 1993, then-Senator Biden stated, “We have no choice but to take them [black people] out of society.”
During the 2020 campaign, Biden infamously stated that “poor kids are just as bright as white kids,” and that if someone doesn’t vote for him, they’re not actually black. Biden also noted that he enjoys having black children touch his hairy legs in the pool.
