For the first time in history, a story about Stacey Abrams has hit the news, and the failed Georgia gubernatorial candidate is not rushing to the nearest wide-angle lens camera to enlighten everyone. Stacey’s brother-in-law was arrested on Friday morning at a hotel in Florida. He’s been charged with trafficking a young teenage girl, among other things. Why is it that politicians and their family members are all such a bunch of weirdos?
Of course, everyone knows who Stacey Abrams is. She writes those porno books that you can buy on Amazon. Oh, and she also ran for governor of Georgia and lost and has been claiming ever since that she actually won and she’s the real governor. In addition to writing porn, Stacey Abrams is also the most prominent election denier on the political left since Hillary Clinton.
Stacey Abrams has a less-famous sister named Leslie Abrams Gardner. She’s a U.S. District Court Judge who was appointed by Barack Obama in 2014 and confirmed unanimously by every Republican and Democrat in the US Senate. Leslie Abrams Gardner is married to a man named Jimmie Gardner, who has now gotten himself into some hot water down in Florida.
Jimmie is 57 years old, and he’s a youth motivational speaker when he’s not in prison on rape charges. He was staying at the Renaissance Hotel at International Plaza in Tampa when he encountered a young teenage girl in the lobby. He somehow convinced the child to come back to his hotel room with him.
Once they got there, police say Jimmie offered to pay the girl for sex. She initially agreed, and police say that Jimmie then engaged in sexual acts with the child, which they were thankfully not explicit about. But when she later changed her mind, Stacey Abrams’ brother-in-law became furious. He tried to kick the girl out of his room, and when an argument ensued, police say Jimmie choked the girl. He then left, and the girl called the police.
When the police arrived, the victim was still at the scene. Gardner had left the hotel. He later turned himself in at the Tampa Police District 1 Office. Jimmie Gardner is being held without bond, and he’s been charged with human trafficking, lewd and lascivious touching of a minor, and battery.
This is not the first time that Stacey Abrams’ brother-in-law has had run-ins with the law. He was once sentenced to 25 years in prison for raping two women in West Virginia back in the 1980s. Fox News says Jimmie Gardner was eventually exonerated on those charges.
Former Fox News personality Tucker Carlson is always remarking that politicians and their families are like this. They have deeply weird and creepy personal lives because they’re all basically hollow on the inside. Tucker lived in Washington, DC, for most of his adult life, so he would know.
So, for once, there’s a story in the news that doesn’t have porn author Stacey Abrams lumbering toward the nearest microphone. Fox News says it reached out to Stacey and her sister, Judge Gardner, but neither woman has responded to their requests for comment. If a reporter ever does catch up to them and asks why Jimmie Gardner tried to allegedly sex traffic a minor, they’ll just say it’s a sensitive family matter, and everyone should respect their privacy. When is it ever not a sensitive family matter with these pervy politicians and their relatives?
