OK Lawmakers Stand Behind Tucker Carlson, Reject Dominion Voting Machines

It’s been less than a month since the hugely popular Tucker Carlson was fired by the thoroughly loathsome Fox News board. In a surprise turn of events, lawmakers in multiple states are standing behind Tucker Carlson firmly. The latest reports indicate that Fox News fired Carlson because Dominion Voting Systems asked for his removal as part of its out-of-court settlement with the network. Republican lawmakers in Oklahoma say that’s a “no go,” and if Dominion fought so hard to get Carlson fired, their suspicious machines will no longer be allowed in their state.

Carlson’s attorneys sent a letter to Fox News last week, accusing the network of fraud and breach of contract. As part of Carlson’s separation, for example, the network promised him that it would not publicly release any of his private communications. That’s obviously been happening on an almost daily basis, with a steady drip-drip-drip of text messages and off-air video clips surfacing.

Oklahoma’s legislature is now pushing back against Dominion, for its role in getting the most popular conservative talk show host in the world fired. House and Senate Republicans have passed a resolution that states, in part:

“THAT the people of Oklahoma remain committed in their opposition to the use of Dominion Voting Systems in this state if such entity is working to silence voices such as Tucker Carlson’s.

“THAT the people of Oklahoma support the rights enshrined in the First Amendment and encourage freedom of speech. THAT the people of Oklahoma appreciate the role Tucker Carlson has played in sharing truth in a time when lies reign supreme.”

State Sen. Rob Standridge (R) says that if the reports about Dominion getting Tucker Carlson fired are true, that will “only add to the reasons to keep them from operating in our state.”

Absolutely! Every other red state should follow Oklahoma’s example.

Dominion Voting Systems lied about a host of things that were wonky about its machines in the 2020 election. The machines were absolutely hooked up to the internet. Packets of data were sent overseas to China from those machines, and then altered packets were sent back. That’s all been confirmed by forensic programmers and other experts. That’s suspicious, no matter how much money Dominion bilks out of TV news networks that accurately reported on it.

Tucker Carlson was one of the voices at Fox News who was actually skeptical that the Dominion machines had stolen the election. There were plenty of other mountains of evidence that it was stolen that were much easier to pinpoint. So, if Dominion had Tucker fired, it wasn’t because of any claims that he made about their machines in the 2020 election.

They had him fired because the Deep State, tech oligarchs, and other Democrat Party operatives wanted Tucker Carlson sidelined until after the 2024 election. Other than Donald Trump, Carlson is one of the most powerful populist voices in the country, so everyone on the left hates him.

Texas Gov. Gregg Abbott has shown a similar inclination to step into the fray. He’s calling on Dominion to answer questions about the reports it was involved in Tucker’s firing.

“If Dominion wants to do business with Texas in the future, they should first answer questions about what role, if any, they played in silencing a prominent conservative journalist,” said Abbott.

Good for him! Tucker Carlson was a fairly staunch critic of Gregg Abbott for the past two years, because of the Texas Governor’s refusal to send troops to seal the border. The fact that Abbott is speaking out in Carlson’s favor says a lot about Abbott’s character. Hopefully, more red states will adopt a similar attitude against Dominion before we lose another election under suspicious circumstances in 2024.
